Description
The Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) offers the Sam Chu Lin Broadcast News Internship Grant to help support practical experience in broadcast journalism. The grant assists student broadcasters who have secured internships at news outlets, as well as journalists interested in or working in local television news. Its stipend helps cover living expenses and transportation during an internship.
The grant honors Sam Chu Lin, one of the first Asian American male reporters on network television. His career included television and radio reporting and articles on Asian American affairs. He received AAJA’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007, recognizing his commitment to journalism and Asian American Pacific Islander issues.
