The Sauk Rapids-Rice Education Foundation supports educational opportunities, special projects, and engaging ideas beyond the school district’s operating budget. Its classroom grants enhance learning from early childhood through grade 12, prioritizing unforgettable classroom experiences, stronger school-community connections, and opportunities for children who need them. Supported work has included literacy, music, hands-on science, arts, classroom technology, sensory exploration, and movement-based learning.
The foundation is a Partner Fund of the Initiative Foundation, which manages and stewards its charitable endowment. Local volunteer advisors make classroom-enriching grant decisions. The fund also seeks to strengthen connections with parents, alumni, and local businesses and remove financial barriers through participation scholarships and reduced fees for educational activities.
