Description
The New Jersey Commission on Science, Innovation & Technology (CSIT) provides financial assistance to New Jersey small businesses participating in the federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. The program aims to improve success in securing federal funding, reduce the financial burden of federally supported research, and help companies advance from Phase I to Phase II.
Direct Funding supports businesses with active Phase I, Fast Track, or Direct to Phase II awards, helping intensify research, strengthen commercialization plans, and cover operating expenses. Bridge Funding supports companies that have completed Phase I and are awaiting a Phase II decision. Both components can maintain project activities, support research and development, and cover general operating costs.
