Description
The North Carolina SBIR/STTR Phase I Matching Funds Program supports North Carolina-based small businesses that have secured a federal Phase I Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) award. The program provides state matching funds to help firms bridge the funding gap between the end of federal Phase I and the start of Phase II, intensify Phase I research, and increase the likelihood of securing subsequent federal funding. Administered by the North Carolina Department of Commerce’s Office of Science, Technology & Innovation, this program is a key component of the One North Carolina Small Business Program.
