Description
This grant program is designed to help North Carolina universities and nonprofit research institutes accelerate the development and commercialization of innovative life sciences technologies with a focus on food innovation. The program supports projects that address significant research challenges, such as gene editing for crop improvement, novel food safety diagnostics, fermentation technologies, aquaculture, vertical farming, circular processing, and sustainable packaging. The goal is to bridge the gap between laboratory discoveries and scalable, market-ready solutions that can have a broad impact on the life sciences sector in North Carolina.
