Description
The SCAR Science Group Fellowship Programme brings early- and mid-career researchers into the work of SCAR’s permanent Geosciences, Life Sciences and Physical Sciences Groups. One fellow is assigned to each group. The programme aims to develop researchers professionally, deepen their involvement in SCAR and mentor potential future group leaders.
Fellows work with Science Group Chief Officers on group activities, reports and meeting preparations. They help communication among the groups, their subsidiary groups, the SCAR Secretariat and the Executive Committee; gather news and outreach material; and develop ways to promote SCAR activities internationally. Science Group leaders mentor fellows in the work of their groups, Expert Groups and Action Groups.
