Description
The Bristol Chapter of Speedway Children's Charities raises funds through events, activities, and campaigns to support nonprofit children's organizations in northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia. The program aims to help children overcome obstacles, have equal opportunities, and lead productive lives. Priority consideration goes to organizations helping children experiencing homelessness, orphans, children in foster care, and victims of human trafficking.
Funding focuses on three pillars: critical support, including food security and assistance for victims of sex trafficking; medical needs, including illness, dental care, disability, and therapy; and education, including tutoring, literacy, and after-school programs. The separate Jeff Byrd Grant honors the former Bristol Motor Speedway president and general manager through a substantial award for an exceptional project serving children.
