Description
The Schmidt Science Fellowships empower exceptional early-career scientists to undertake ambitious interdisciplinary postdoctoral research at leading laboratories worldwide. Administered at UBC by the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, this prestigious program is designed for recent or soon-to-complete PhD graduates in the natural sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computing. Fellows receive a generous stipend, participate in a global meeting series, and benefit from individualized mentoring to accelerate their development as scientific and societal leaders. The program specifically seeks candidates ready to make a genuine disciplinary pivot beyond their doctoral research and who demonstrate scientific excellence, leadership potential, and a drive to address global challenges.
