Description
The Scholar award within Blood Cancer United’s Career Development Program supports rising blood cancer researchers who have demonstrated the capacity for independent, sustained, and original investigation. Primarily intended for basic and translational researchers, it provides salary support to help investigators sustain research in hematologic malignancies and relevant premalignant conditions while advancing their academic careers.
Unlike a standard research grant, the award’s application and review process centers on the investigator’s overall research program rather than an individual project. The program aims to support emerging leaders in blood cancer research. Investigators should ideally maintain a research program entirely focused on blood cancer, with limited work outside that area acceptable when blood cancer research remains at least 75% of the total program.
