Description
The Scholar in Clinical Research award is part of Blood Cancer United’s Career Development Program, formerly administered under The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society name. It supports rising stars conducting independent clinical research that advances the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of hematologic malignancies and relevant premalignant conditions. Research must directly involve patients and connect with the investigator’s clinical activities, often through early-stage clinical trials.
The award supports an investigator’s overall clinical research program rather than a single, stand-alone project. Applications and review therefore focus on the broader body of patient-focused clinical work. Funding is directed to the investigator’s salary and career development, rather than research expenses, tuition, or subcontract costs.
