The Scholar-in-Residence Fellowship is administered by CLAGS: The Center for LGBTQ Studies at the CUNY Graduate Center in midtown Manhattan. It assists scholars and professionals whose work on the LGBTQ experience would benefit from the center’s resources and location. The fellowship encourages research and writing on LGBTQ history, literature, and culture, as well as other projects relating to LGBTQ experiences broadly conceived.
The program also promotes interaction among residents, including fellows supported by other funding sources, and dissemination of research findings through lectures in CLAGS’s ongoing Events Series. Residents receive a CLAGS affiliation and access to a scholarly setting where they can advance their work and meet leading LGBTQ scholars in New York City.
