--- ## Description The Scholar Program is designed to provide substantial, multi-year support to mid-career, tenure-track faculty at U.S. institutions who are in their fifth to eighth year and hold M.D. and/or Ph.D. degrees. The goal is to help promising scientists advance their biomedical research to a point where they are competitive for major independent funding such as NIH grants. The program is highly selective and operates by invitation only, with a limited number of institutions invited to nominate up to two candidates each cycle.
