The Scholars' Travel Fund (STF) is a Campus Research Board program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign that provides travel support to eligible faculty presenting original scholarly research or creative work at academic conferences, national disciplinary meetings, and specialized gatherings. The STF aims to foster faculty engagement in academic communities by funding travel-related expenses, thereby enabling the sharing of research and creative achievements at significant academic events.
A pilot program, the Specialized Faculty Scholars’ Travel Fund (SF-STF), extends partial support to specialized faculty for one conference per year to present research or creative work. The program does not cover keynote speakers, discussants, chairs, invited lecturers at individual campuses, or research-related travel.
