Description
The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) runs an annual Scholarships, Awards and Fellowships program with its corporate partners to recognize achievement and distinction among its members. Funding supports leadership development, fellowships, teaching excellence and students’ pursuit of academic careers. Opportunities are grouped for students, dental educators and ADEA Leadership Institute fellows.
Student scholarships support community health, preventive dentistry, preparation for academic careers and innovation in oral health care delivery. Educator opportunities include teaching and learning scholarships, management and leadership development, faculty leadership recognition, junior faculty awards and an excellence in teaching award. Named scholar opportunities support participation in the ADEA Leadership Institute. The Sinkford Student Leadership Award recognizes final-year dental students selected by their schools for leadership and service.
