Description
This grant, administered by the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) Office of Early Childhood and Out of School Learning, provides financial support to licensed or regulated school-age child care programs operating within Indiana public school corporations or qualifying not-for-profit organizations. The purpose is to enhance the quality and availability of before and after school care, as well as care during certain out-of-school periods (excluding summer break), for children ages five to fifteen. Funding is intended to supplement program enrichment, equipment, staffing, staff development, and transportation, thereby fostering safe, developmentally appropriate environments that support learning and well-being outside regular school hours.
