--- ## Description This grant provides funding for K–12 public and private schools in select Minnesota counties to support arts-related projects. Eligible activities include artist residencies, live art performances, mini-workshops, and arts-related field trips. The goal is to enhance arts education and provide meaningful arts experiences for students, either as part of the curriculum or as special events. --- ## Due Dates - Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with deadlines on the **1st of each month** from **July 1, 2024, through April 1, 2025**. - Applications are reviewed on the **4th Thursday of each month**. - Funding is available until exhausted, so early application is encouraged. --- ## Funding Amount - **Maximum award:** $2,500 per project. - **Project duration:** Must be completed within one year of the project start date (which is the 1st of the month after grant review). - No expenses may be incurred before the official project start date. --- ## Eligibility - **Applicants:** Public and private K–12 schools (including school districts) located in the following Minnesota counties: Blue Earth, Brown, Faribault, Le Sueur, Martin, Nicollet, Sibley, Waseca, and Watonwan. - **Eligible activities:** Arts residencies, live performances, mini-workshops, and arts-related field trips. - **Eligible expenses:** Artist fees, supplies, transportation, and other direct costs related to the arts project. - **Ineligible:** Projects outside the specified counties, non-school organizations, or projects not primarily arts-related. --- ## Application Process 1. **Review Guidelines:** Read the [School Arts Project Grant Guidelines (PDF)](https://www.plrac.org/s/School_guidelinesFY2025.pdf). 2. **Prepare Application:** Download and complete the [Application Questions (Word)](https://www.plrac.org/s/SCHQuestionsFY2025.docx). 3. **Budget:** Complete the [Budget Form (Excel)](https://www.plrac.org/s/Art_Project_Budget_Form_SCH_FY2025.xlsx) and upload it with your application. 4. **Supporting Materials:** Provide artist resumes/bios, work samples, and a project description. 5. **Submit Application:** Applications are submitted online via the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council (PLRAC) portal. 6. **Review:** Applications are reviewed monthly; notification follows the review. 7. **Project Start:** Projects may begin on the 1st of the month after the review date. --- ## Additional Information - **Accessibility:** Projects should be accessible to all students, including those with disabilities.
