Description
The South Carolina Arts Commission’s School Arts Support Grants help schools bring innovative arts practices into classrooms. Projects may use arts as curriculum, arts-enhanced curriculum, or arts-integrated curriculum to address student outcomes and increase engagement. Funding supplements, rather than replaces, a school’s existing arts budget.
Public-school 4K projects may support artist or Wolf Trap residencies, teacher learning, and related resources. K-12 projects may support visual and performing arts materials, professional development and peer planning, artist residencies, or creative arts therapy. Residencies include time for artists to share skills with teachers so those practices can continue in future years.
