School Resource Officers and Safety Dogs

The revised law removes the dedicated competitive allocation of up to $53.5 million for school resource officers and safety dogs; these costs instead fall under per-pupil student safety funding for 2026–2027. It also removes the provision carrying unspent competitive-grant funds forward with an estimated September 30, 2029 completion date.
