Sciana: The Health Leaders Network is a prestigious two-year fellowship programme designed for mid- to senior-level health leaders from the UK, Germany, and Switzerland. The initiative aims to foster transformative leadership, cross-country collaboration, and innovation to address complex challenges in health, care, and wellbeing. Each cohort comprises up to 18 selected fellows who participate in a blend of residential and online activities, including leadership seminars, collaborative projects (the "Sciana Challenge"), and ongoing network engagement. The programme is supported by the Health Foundation (UK), Careum Stiftung (Switzerland), and Bosch Health Campus (Germany), in partnership with Salzburg Global Seminar.
Sciana focuses on systems leadership, equipping fellows to operate across institutional, professional, and national boundaries, and catalyse systemic change in health systems. The ninth cohort (applications due June 2026) will focus on "Systems Leadership for Health in a Digital Age", exploring digital transformation, equity, data governance, and the impact of technology on health systems.
