The Science Integration & Leadership Committee (SILC) Basic Science Travel Award recognizes exceptional student research in basic science and provides financial support to help recipients travel to present their work at the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Annual Meeting. The award is based on the overall impact and quality of the research study and is intended to foster the professional development of emerging scientists. Recipients are honored at the Basic Science Reception during the annual ACSM event.
