The Science Integration & Leadership Committee (SILC) Basic Science Travel Award is designed to recognize excellence in student research in basic science and to support students in presenting their scholarly work at the ACSM Annual Meeting. This one-time award provides funding to help defray travel costs for undergraduate, graduate, or medical students who are the first author and presenter of an abstract accepted in the basic science category. Selection is based on the overall impact and quality of the research presented.
