The Science Integration & Leadership Committee (SILC) Basic Science Travel Award recognizes excellence in student research in basic science and provides financial support for travel to present scholarly work at the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Annual Meeting. The award is given based on the overall impact and quality of the study being presented. Recipients are formally recognized at the Basic Science Reception during the meeting. This is a competitive, annual award intended to help defray travel costs for one student per year.
