Description
The South Carolina Commission on Higher Education (CHE) offers this Resource Support Grant following its Science of Reading Seminar. The seminar helps educator preparation faculty strengthen evidence-based literacy instruction and address South Carolina’s Read to Succeed requirements. The subsequent grant supports purchases of instructional materials and resources for integrating Science of Reading practices into coursework for future educators.
CHE presents the seminar and grant alongside its Centers of Excellence for Teacher Education initiatives. Those initiatives focus on improving teacher education, particularly for rural and underperforming schools and districts.
