This Fulbright Scholar Award enables U.S. academics and professionals in science, technology, and education to undertake teaching, research, or a combination of both at public or private institutions throughout Panama. Scholars may assist in faculty, curriculum, or program development, conduct research projects designated by host institutions, and teach undergraduate or graduate courses. The program aims to foster academic exchange, strengthen U.S.–Panama relationships, and promote international understanding. Scholars are encouraged to engage in community activities such as public talks and mentoring, and may visit multiple institutions relevant to their expertise. The award offers a Flex option, allowing multiple short-term stays in Panama over two years if required by the project.
