Description
This Fulbright Scholar Program award supports research, teaching, and combined teaching/research projects at institutions in Panama. Applications are sought in all science and technology fields, including education. Scholars may conduct host-designated research, teach undergraduate or graduate courses of their choosing, or assist with faculty, curriculum, and program development. Combined projects must allocate 60% of their activity to teaching and 40% to research.
Universidad del Istmo particularly welcomes cybersecurity specialists for virtual teaching using open software and research on the private sector, and industrial engineering experts for virtual instruction and research. The exchange aims to strengthen relationships between the United States and Panama and promote international understanding. Public talks, student mentoring, host-community engagement, and visits to related universities or public and private institutions may complement the primary project.
