Description
Alzheimer’s Research UK provides sponsorship for scientific conferences, meetings, workshops, working groups, and other small-scale activities relevant to its research remit. The scheme supports both scientific gatherings and work associated with planning or producing shared outputs. Examples include workshops for collaborative planning ahead of funding calls, themed meetings, conferences, and the production of landscape reviews, statements, and reports. These examples are not exhaustive.
The charity’s funding remit covers biomedical research in Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, with goals to understand disease, reduce risk, diagnose, and treat. Research with translational potential for patient benefit is particularly important. The Alzheimer’s Research UK Research Team decides whether to provide sponsorship or funding for proposed events.
