Supports early career researchers in cardiac cellular electrophysiology to conduct collaborative research visits at European institutions outside their home country.
Funder: European Society of Cardiology
Due Dates (Anticipated): December 2026
Funding Amounts: €2,500 per award; up to two awards annually; supports 1+ month research visits.
Summary: Supports early career researchers in cardiac cellular electrophysiology for collaborative research visits between European institutions.
Key Information: Applicants must be members of the ESC Working Group on Cardiac Cellular Electrophysiology at the time of application.
The ESC Working Group on Cardiac Cellular Electrophysiology Scientific Exchange Grants (SEG) are designed to foster collaboration and strengthen ties between research institutions across different European countries. The program supports early career investigators, including PhD students and postdocs, to undertake research visits of at least one month in a laboratory located in a European country different from their current institution. The grant covers travel and accommodation costs, aiming to facilitate the exchange of scientific knowledge and build international research networks in the field of cellular cardiac electrophysiology. Applications are evaluated on the quality of the proposal, scientific merit, and suitability of the host laboratory.
