Description
Scientific Networks is a German Research Foundation (DFG) programme supporting sustained scientific exchange and cooperation among researchers at all career stages. A fixed group works across locations on a topic of its choice, pursuing a defined outcome such as preparing joint research, publishing shared findings, advancing scientific methods, or developing subject-specific infrastructure.
The programme promotes national and international networking, particularly for researchers in early career phases. It also supports researchers addressing new interdisciplinary or strategic questions who need a flexible, results-focused framework. International exchange can address strategically important topics. Funding supports the meetings, coordination and publications that enable this collaboration over a period of up to three years.
