The SDR Scientific Education Award is administered by the Australian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB). It recognises outstanding achievement in biochemistry or molecular biology education, with particular emphasis on innovation and creativity, and seeks to foster leadership in education.
The award supports participation in an international conference with a significant education focus, or time at another institution in Australia or overseas to undertake educational developments. Proposed activities may address new developments in biochemistry and molecular biology education directly, or broader educational developments that will be applied to these disciplines. SDR Scientific provides the contribution towards travel expenses. The recipient also presents a lecture within the Education Symposium at the annual ASBMB conference.
