    Description

    The Southeast Asian Flagship Languages Initiative–Vietnamese (SEAFLI-Vietnamese) offers an immersive, multi-stage Vietnamese language program for recipients of Boren Awards. The initiative is designed to develop professional-level proficiency through a combination of a domestic summer session at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a fall semester at the University of Languages and International Studies (ULIS) in Hanoi, Vietnam. Awardees may also extend their overseas study through the spring semester for additional language study, coursework, internships, or research. The program welcomes applicants at all proficiency levels, from beginners to advanced speakers, and is sponsored by the National Security Education Program.
