    The Search and Rescue Volunteer Association of Canada (SARVAC) Contribution Program supports the national coordination, standardization, and prevention activities of Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR) volunteers across Canada. The program aims to strengthen the national framework for GSAR by providing consistent training, prevention messaging, and organizational support for over 12,000 volunteers, ensuring an effective and unified approach to search and rescue operations. Funding enhances SARVAC’s ability to deliver prevention outreach, maintain national standards, and facilitate interoperability among volunteer teams in all provinces and territories.
