Description
The Searle Scholars Program supports outstanding early-career scientists who have recently begun their independent research careers as assistant professors on a tenure-track (or equivalent) appointment at select academic and research institutions. The program aims to foster innovative research in biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, immunology, neuroscience, pharmacology, and related areas in chemistry, medicine, and the biological sciences. The award provides critical resources during the formative years of a scientist’s independent career and is highly competitive, with approximately 15 scholars selected each year.
