Description
This program provides competitive subgrants to support projects that restore and protect waters in Missouri impaired or threatened by nonpoint source pollution, as authorized under Section 319(h) of the Clean Water Act. Funding is available for both watershed planning and the implementation of on-the-ground best management practices (BMPs) as detailed in EPA- and Missouri DNR-approved watershed plans. Projects must demonstrate strong partnerships, measurable water quality improvements, and effective project management, with an emphasis on long-term operation and maintenance of installed practices. Priority is given to projects in underserved communities, high-visibility areas, public lands, and prioritized watersheds.
