Description
The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) administers Section 604(b) Water Quality Planning Grants through its Nonpoint Source Management Program. Funded through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under the Clean Water Act, the program supports local watershed-level planning to restore impaired waters and protect high-quality waters across New Hampshire.
Projects may identify the nature, extent, and sources of water quality problems and the nonpoint source measures needed to meet water quality standards. Eligible work includes watershed-based plans, corridor management plans for designated rivers, monitoring, stormwater retrofit planning, green infrastructure planning, and work with municipalities on ordinances or permit-related water quality priorities.
