Description
This program funds new and innovative mentoring initiatives within the sections of the American Anthropological Association (AAA). The goal is to promote professional growth in teaching, research, and academic service, with an emphasis on building sustainable mentor-mentee relationships. Grants can support a range of activities, including in-person or virtual programs, workshops, outreach, and career development events. Preference is given to proposals for activities or events that have not previously received funding. The grant is intended to offset costs and help sections address specific mentoring needs; it is not designed to fully fund projects. Flexibility is provided in project timelines to accommodate diverse section needs.
