Description
The Stewart Huston Charitable Trust dedicates forty percent of its annual distributions to secular charitable activities within a 100-mile radius of Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Funding is primarily directed toward two broad program areas:
- Health and Human Services: Community-based health care, support for individuals of all ages, family strengthening initiatives, assistance for those with special needs, and programs that promote employment and self-reliance.
- Civic Affairs: Community revitalization, educational opportunities (including for special needs populations), human relations, support for at-risk youth, access to arts and cultural experiences, and preservation of historic and cultural resources. Limited support is available for fundraising events such as festivals and concerts.
The Trust seeks to support organizations that demonstrate a clear community need, leverage additional resources, and foster volunteer and community involvement.
