Description
See, Test & Treat is a College of American Pathologists (CAP) Foundation program supporting one-day, pathologist-led screening and health education events for medically underserved populations across the United States. It aims to reduce barriers to care through health care system partnerships, provide dignified screenings with prompt results, and connect patients and their families to a medical home and community resources.
Beginning in 2026, the program expanded beyond its longstanding breast and cervical cancer screening model. Programs must provide free cervical cancer screening plus at least one other supported screening selected for community needs. Services include connections to follow-up care, interpretive services, and culturally appropriate, translated education. The program also seeks to improve patients’ understanding of screening and abnormal results while increasing pathologists’ visibility in their communities.
