Description
The Seed Awards program, administered by New Mexico EPSCoR, is designed to catalyze transformative research and build research capacity at academic institutions throughout New Mexico. Funding can support research equipment, student researchers, supplies, and student conference travel. The program aims to enhance the state's research infrastructure, foster student engagement (especially at undergraduate and community college levels), and increase the competitiveness of New Mexico institutions for external funding. Projects should align with either the New Mexico Science and Technology Plan or NSF Research Focus Areas, and are encouraged to pursue innovative research with clear outcomes such as publications, grant proposals, and workforce development.
