Description
The Foundation for SMFM offers seed funding for investigator-initiated research through its Queenan Global Health Awards. Established in 2014 in honor of Dr. John T. Queenan, the program seeks to advance obstetrics in low- and middle-income countries, where a disproportionate burden of adverse outcomes occurs.
The research opportunity sits within a broader mission to train current and future leaders in perinatal health to work in partnership in these settings. It supports SMFM investigators whose work aligns with that global health mission. The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine and supports maternal-fetal medicine research and education.
