Description
The Global Research Institute (GRI) at William & Mary runs the Seed Program as an early-stage investment in faculty- and staff-led applied research. It supports collaborative teams working on complex, real-world challenges with potential impact beyond academia. Pilot research is not required, but principal investigators should have experience in the topic and existing connections to communities or partners.
Seed teams work with GRI research support staff and external experts to develop their projects, pursue funding, and build partnerships with practitioners and funders. GRI also provides fiscal and administrative support, research management, communications assistance, and access to workshops and its research networks.
