The European Association of Social Psychology (EASP) offers Seedcorn Research Grants to help researchers develop new research projects. For full members, the scheme supports preliminary research that may help secure larger-scale funding from other sources. It also supports research designed at EASP Summer Schools, with applications submitted by groups of Summer School participants.
Projects should have a clear connection to social psychology, a sound theoretical rationale, appropriate methods, and a feasible research plan. Assessment considers originality, contribution to social psychological literature, publication potential, and applied value where relevant. Research following open science principles, such as open data and preregistration, is especially welcome. After scientific merit is assessed, diversity criteria inform funding decisions, particularly access to research funding in applicants’ regions.
