Description
This award enables U.S. scholars and professionals to spend two to six months at Finnish institutions conducting research, teaching, or undertaking professional projects that address pressing global challenges. Projects may be in any discipline and should have potential for broad impact, ideally aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The program emphasizes cross-disciplinary, collaborative work on topics such as sustainability, global health, equitable societies, climate change, migration, and emerging technologies. Academic awardees are expected to teach and/or conduct research, while professionals design projects in coordination with their Finnish host. The award is part of the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program and is administered by the Fulbright Finland Foundation.
