Description
The Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office (NDOT-HSO) offers this mini-grant for selective overtime enforcement. Law enforcement agencies in priority counties can propose focused activity addressing occupant protection, alcohol, speed, distracted driving, or general traffic. Mini-grant activities last no longer than 30 days.
The funded enforcement must be above and beyond the agency’s current level of activity; regular traffic enforcement must continue at that level. Applications identify the traffic injury problem, set an objective for reducing fatal and serious injury crashes, and describe how the proposed enforcement responds to that problem.
