Description
The American Chemical Society’s Senior Chemists Committee offers mini-grants to local sections for events and activities that increase senior members’ engagement. Activities may be held in person or virtually and should encourage innovative ways to benefit the local community, schools, or legislative government.
Examples include recognition meals for longtime members, undergraduate mentoring, collaborations with younger chemists, tours of historical landmarks, and activities for local students such as science fairs or STEM projects. Grant funds can support speaker travel, advertising and promotion, or other costs associated with hosting the event.
