Description
The Oakley Center Fellowship Program at Williams College is designed to foster a vibrant intellectual community advancing research in the humanities and social sciences. The program offers several types of fellowships:
- Resident Fellowships: For Williams faculty on leave and professional scholars, providing office space, research support, and access to weekly forums for scholarly exchange.
- Clark/Oakley Humanities Fellowship: Jointly sponsored with the Clark Art Institute, supporting interdisciplinary humanities research with a visual focus.
- Senior Fellows: For emeritus Williams faculty, supporting ongoing research and participation in Center activities.
- Visiting Fellows: For faculty from neighboring institutions, by nomination.
- Ruchman Fellowships: For Williams seniors pursuing research in preparation for graduate study and teaching careers.
All fellowships emphasize interdisciplinary scholarship, collegial engagement, and residency at or near the Oakley Center.
