Description
Alzheimer's Research UK's Senior Research Fellowship supports excellent clinical and non-clinical researchers making the transition to independence in biomedical dementia research. It aims to retain researchers with nationally competitive track records and clear plans to manage their own research groups and become internationally recognised. The fellowship provides salary and research programme support while fellows develop independent research leadership.
Research must address Alzheimer's disease or other dementias, focusing on treatment, diagnosis or prevention. The charity supports basic preclinical and clinical research, with particular importance placed on translational potential to benefit people with or at risk of dementia. Care and service delivery research are outside its remit. Applicants' research plans should have a clear translational path or vision and should not significantly overlap with their sponsors' work.
