Description
LEO Foundation Serendipity Grants give current grantees room to investigate a novel discovery or idea that arose during an ongoing Foundation-funded research project. The proposed work must be a significant departure from the original project, not simply its logical next step. It may also fall outside the applicant’s usual research focus. The program is intended for ideas too early-stage to be likely to receive support through other LEO Foundation funding programs.
Exploration can span life science research, from molecular principles and translational or epidemiological studies to clinical implementation and technology development. The Foundation announces the program once a year in open competition.
