Description
This grant, administered by the Oklahoma District Attorneys Council, funds the establishment, maintenance, and expansion of sexual assault services through non-governmental or tribal victim service programs. The program focuses on providing direct intervention, advocacy, accompaniment to court or medical facilities, support services, and related assistance for victims of sexual assault, as well as their family and household members (excluding perpetrators). Funded activities include 24-hour crisis hotlines, advocacy within medical and criminal justice systems, short-term counseling, culturally specific outreach, information and referral, and the development of educational and outreach materials. Direct payments to victims for costs related to sexual assault may also be supported.
