Description
The MIT Human Insight Collaborative (MITHIC) is a presidential initiative supporting transformative, human-centered research and educational innovation at MIT. MITHIC offers several competitive internal funding opportunities designed to foster collaboration between the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (SHASS) and other MIT units, advance humanities research, and catalyze educational innovation. The main funds are:
- SHASS+ Connectivity Fund: Supports bold, cross-disciplinary collaborations between SHASS and other MIT schools, requiring co-leads from SHASS and a non-SHASS MIT unit.
- Humanities Cultivation Fund: Funds generative research and creative projects in the humanities and humanistic social sciences, led by SHASS faculty or research staff.
