Description
The SHASS+ Connectivity Fund, administered by the MIT Human Insight Collaborative (MITHIC), supports bold collaborations between MIT’s School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences and other MIT schools and the college. Projects should combine SHASS researchers’ expertise with that of colleagues elsewhere at MIT, with SHASS scholarship central to the collaboration rather than a separate component.
The fund supports both new and ongoing collaborations through full proposals and smaller planning grants. Funding may support research, scholarly workshops, and collaborative meetings. Projects addressing the intersection of AI and society are especially welcome. The program contributes to MITHIC’s broader mission of advancing human-centered research and teaching, connecting scholars across disciplines to address major global challenges and educate tomorrow’s leaders.
