Description
The SHASS+ Connectivity Fund, administered through the MIT Human Insight Collaborative (MITHIC), is dedicated to advancing innovative, cross-disciplinary research that bridges MIT’s School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (SHASS) with other departments and units across the Institute. The goal is to integrate human-centered approaches from the humanities, arts, and social sciences with scientific, engineering, and technical perspectives, deepening understanding of human experience and tackling major global challenges.
The fund supports both initial and ongoing collaborations, offering resources for research projects, scholarly workshops, and collaborative meetings. Projects must be co-led by a PI from SHASS and a co-PI from another MIT school or college, ensuring robust multidisciplinary engagement. The initiative is part of a broader effort at MIT to foster human-centered inquiry and education.
