Description
The Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) Research Program advances healthcare epidemiology, infection prevention, and antimicrobial stewardship through collaborative research. Its SHEA Research Network (SRN), established in 2012, connects healthcare facilities worldwide so clinicians and researchers can conduct multicenter studies that inform evidence-based practices and improve patient outcomes. SHEA reports that the network has completed more than 80 peer-reviewed studies.
The program also shares research agendas on healthcare-associated infections, antibiotic stewardship, and COVID-19 in healthcare epidemiology. Investigators or agencies seeking to conduct a project through the SRN can submit a proposal concept for review.
