Description
The Vermont Department for Children and Families’ Office of Economic Opportunity (OEO) has granted funds to the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board (VHCB) to support shelter development across Vermont. Through this partnership, technical assistance helps DCF-identified shelter operators overcome real estate development challenges, from finding suitable properties to advancing potential projects through feasibility and planning. VHCB funds qualified development consultants to provide that expertise.
OEO and VHCB also work together on a rolling pipeline of shelter projects. They identify development opportunities, address challenges, and move priority projects toward completion as funding allows.
