    Description

The Shock Society’s Research Investigator Fellowship Award supports research fellows who have newly obtained a postgraduate degree and are working toward becoming independent investigators. It funds research related to trauma, shock, and sepsis, spanning basic cellular responses through clinical outcomes. Translational research and clinical application are encouraged, including basic or clinical science approaches that advance understanding of trauma, hemorrhage, shock, and sepsis.

The proposed research must have intrinsic scientific importance, but it may also include opportunities to learn the methodology, theory, and concepts needed for project development. The fellowship combines research support with investigator development, helping recipients build a career in trauma and shock research. Recipients also share their work at Shock Society Annual Meetings.
