Description
The Short-Term Fellowship Program provides early-career researchers—including graduate students, and occasionally undergraduate and postdoctoral candidates—the opportunity to conduct hands-on tropical research at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI) in Panama. Fellows gain direct experience working in the tropics, access to STRI’s facilities and resources, and the chance to explore research possibilities across a variety of disciplines in tropical science. The program is designed to introduce and support emerging scholars in tropical research through short-term, immersive research experiences.
